Introducing The Training Plate

The Training Plate has been used by many endurance athletes to reinforce
balanced eating and a healthy diet.  The Training Plate is an
evidence-based tool for achieving your optimal competition weight that
incorporates American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American
Dietetic Association (ADA), American Medical Association (AMA), US
Department of Agriculture (USDA), and International Society of Sports
Nutrition (ISSN) nutritional guidelines.

Using the Training Plate is simple, but the research that went into its design
and proportions is quite complex.  Using the plate will help athletes learn to
make half their plate vegetables and fruits, eat more whole grains, and
select appropriately sized portions.

The Training Plate is designed to retrain endurance athletes to think
differently every time they sit down to eat.  Even when away from home, the
visual cues of the foods and portions on the Training Plate will help athletes
resist overloading their plate.
